State prison offender Philip Campling has died of apparent natural causes.

Campling, age 73, fell ill at the Mike Durfee State Prison in Springfield on June 28^th. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he passed away.

At the time of his death, Campling was serving multiple sentences from Yankton County for possession of child pornography.
