Inmate Cornell Miles Back in Custody

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.- State prison inmate Cornell Miles is back in custody.

Miles was arrested Aug. 21 in Minnehaha County.

Miles left the Sioux Falls Community Work Center without authorization on August 13.

Leaving a non-secure correctional facility without authorization constitutes second-degree escape, a Class 5 felony punishable by a maximum of 5 years in prison.

Miles is serving sentences for 2nd degree burglary and identity theft out of Minnehaha County.
