State prison inmate dies

(Pierre, S.D.)- A state prison inmate has died.

Inmate John Krogman, age 66, died September 26^th at the South Dakota State Penitentiary. He was serving a 30 year sentence for first degree manslaughter and a concurrent 15 year sentence for aggravated assault out of Pennington County.

The Division of Criminal Investigation is investigating the death, as is standard procedure in the death of an inmate. An autopsy will be conducted.
