Article Body

PIERRE, SD –N.E.W. Customer Service Companies, Inc. (NEW), a leading provider of extended service contracts and buyer protection programs for consumer products, will expand into Sioux Falls where it will create more than 40 work from home customer service agent jobs. The Virginia-based company expanded into Rapid City last month, where it opened its ninth communication center and is in the process of bringing up to 500 jobs to the area.

“We are extremely pleased to welcome NEW to South Dakota again. The turnout NEW had in Rapid City proved a lot about South Dakota’s workforce. The access the company had to dedicated, productive workers in Rapid City convinced them to bring even more jobs to our state,” said Mary Lehecka Nelson, spokesperson for the Governor’s Office of Economic Development. “This is a great example of companies recognizing that South Dakotans really are ready to work.”

Commenting on the expansion, Ray Zukowski, NEW’s Senior Vice President of Operations, said, "NEW's continued growth and success has made it necessary to expand the company's communication center operations. We originally chose South Dakota because they opened their arms to us and provided outstanding support at both the state and local level. We were so impressed with what we experienced in this state, we decided to continue our expansion in South Dakota to fully benefit from this quality workforce.”

Making the second expansion into South Dakota was truly a team effort. The Governor’s Office of Economic Development worked with the South Dakota Career Centers to ensure that the workforce was prepared to fill the new positions, and Southeast Technical Institute stepped up to serve as the site for NEW’s employee training.

Potential employees are encouraged to apply soon. Training programs begin June 5th.
