Gov. Rounds Announces 1,000 New Jobs for North Sioux City
Alorica Inc. Expanding to South Dakota
 
PIERRE, S.D. – Gov. Mike Rounds announced today that Alorica, Inc., a California-based customer service management firm, will expand into North Sioux City, South Dakota, where the company plans to bring 1,000 jobs to the area in the next two years.
 
“Alorica is one of the fastest growing technology companies in the United States,” said Gov. Rounds. “The fact that a world-class company like Alorica chose South Dakota is a testament to our business climate and our capable workforce,” he added.
 
The Governor noted that in addition to 1,000 jobs, Alorica is also making a $1.2 million investment in the community to get its operations up and running. “This is a real partnership between the company, the state and the people of North Sioux City,” said Gov. Rounds.
 
"We have come to North Sioux City for the quality. The workforce has a strong reputation for providing exemplary support and service and has a strong work ethic. Alorica plans to build on this foundation," said Alorica Founder and CEO, Andy Lee.
 
"Alorica would like to thank the Governor's Office, as well as the local North Sioux City Mayor's office and Department of Labor for providing us with unprecedented levels of assistance and support in establishing our new operation. We are delighted to be the newest employer in North Sioux City and are excited about being an integral part of the community," said Lee.

“The majority of the jobs at Alorica’s North Sioux City facility will be customer service positions, primarily for new phone technology,” said Gov. Rounds. “These will be good jobs with good benefits,” he said.
