PIERRE, S.D. - South Dakota Secretary of State Jason Gant has issued the Secretary of State’s Economic Report for the 1st Quarter of 2013 based on corporate registration data.

Gant stated, “Limited Liability Companies (LLC’s) continue to lead new filings with approximately 54 percent of all new filings in the first quarter.  There were a total of 2,038 new filings in the first quarter, up from 1,958 in the fourth quarter of 2012.”

This is the seventh issue of the Secretary’s Economic Report.  Secretary Gant issues these reports on a quarterly basis that include corporate data and other business related activities.
