INMATE WALKS AWAY FROM UNIT C

(Sioux Falls) - An inmate walked away from his work detail this morning outside Unit C of the Jameson Annex of the South Dakota State Penitentiary in Sioux Falls.

Inmate Rustin Provance, 19, walked away from the Jameson Annex yard crew sometime after 6:00 AM.

He was serving a six-year sentence out of Brown County for Grand Theft.

Unit C of the Jameson Annex is a minimum security unit. 

The Department of Corrections, Division of Criminal Investigation and Sioux Falls Police Department are investigating.
