PIERRE, S.D. – South Dakota Ag In The Classroom is searching for creative elementary teachers who integrate agriculture into their classroom curriculum. If you are an elementary teacher, or know of an elementary teacher, that integrates agriculture into his/her classroom, apply for or nominate them for the South Dakota Agriculture in the Classroom Teacher of the Year Award.
“South Dakota Ag In The Classroom knows there are some exciting things happening with agriculture in our classrooms. ‘The Teacher of the Year’ program is way of recognizing outstanding teachers for their efforts in teaching our youth about South Dakota’s #1 industry—Agriculture,” said Lisa Dorschner, Ag in the Classroom Executive Director.
Application information is available at www.sdagclassroom.org on the “What’s New” page. Applications should be postmarked March 1, 2011 and sent to SDAITC, P.O. Box 577, Pierre, SD 57501.
