740th Transportation Company deploys overseas

RAPID CITY – The South Dakota Army National Guard now has five units deployed to Southwest Asia. 

The 740th Transportation Company of Milbank and Brookings departed Fort Carson, CO, Saturday, April 19th, for an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia.  

The 109th Engineer Battalion of Sturgis departed Feb. 16th.  Unit members from the 200th Engineer Company of Pierre, Chamberlain, and Mobridge and the 727th Transportation Company from Elk Point, Brookings, and Watertown departed April 5th.  Company B, 109th Medical Battalion of Vermillion departed April 6th.
