Adams Thermal expanding operations in Canton
PIERRE, S.D. - Adams Thermal Systems of Canton is planning an expansion that will add 46,000 square feet and 33 new employees to its facility.
The company supplies heat exchangers and cooling modules for the Agricultural and off-highway market, on-highway truck market, and automotive niche markets.
“I’m thrilled that Adams Thermal is expanding,” said Richard Benda, Secretary, Department of Tourism and State Development. “This company has been an important business in South Dakota for more than 30 years and has always been an excellent corporate citizen. I’m excited to see its future growth.”
The additional space will be used primarily for warehousing, which will clear additional production space in the existing facility. An employee fitness center is also being added.
“This new expansion is pivotal to our future growth plans in South Dakota,” said Mike Adams, CEO. “We have already broken ground on the project and expect to make use of the new space before the end of the year.”
The expansion is made possible, in part, by a REDI Fund loan through the South Dakota Governor’s Office of Economic Development. The GOED is a division of the Department of Tourism and State Development.
Of the 33 new positions, 10 have been filled and the company anticipates having the remainder filled within the next 12 months. Interested individuals can view positions and apply online at www.adamsthermalsystems.com.
