Search for Missing Work Release Inmate

(SIOUX FALLS, SD) – Department of Corrections staff members and local law enforcement are searching for a missing state prison inmate in Sioux Falls.

Inmate Phillip His Law failed to return to Unit C, the minimum-security unit of the Jameson Annex to the South Dakota State Penitentiary, from his work release job search in Sioux Falls this evening.

His Law is a 30-year-old Native American male with black hair and brown eyes.  He is 5-feet 11-inches tall and weighs approximately 186 pounds. 

His Law is currently serving sentences for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Grand Theft out of Minnehaha County. 

Anyone who sees His Law or knows of his whereabouts should contact law enforcement immediately.

There are more than 900 minimum security inmates housed across the state.  Nearly 200 of those inmates are on work release status, including approximately 63 in the Sioux Falls area.
