SUBJECT:  Oahe Flood Relief Fund Established

PIERRE, S.D. – After receiving numerous calls from individuals wanting to assist those impacted by the flood, the Pierre Chamber of Commerce has established the Oahe Relief Fund at BankWest in Pierre. 

Laura Schoen Carbonneau, Chief Executive Officer for the Pierre Area Chamber of Commerce, has indicated contributions to the fund can be made at any of the BankWest locations throughout South Dakota.  Sites in Pierre are 420 S. Pierre Street, 1611 N. Harrison Avenue and 107 S. Highland.  

Carbonneau noted, once the incident is over, a local taskforce would be assembled to determine how to utilize the funds received.
