Friday, September 18, Aberdeen, 7:30 p.m. (CDT) – Gov. The JSAP is designed to assist and train job seekers on how to find a job. Some topics included are networking, the hidden job market, resumes, applications and proper interview techniques. Tuesday, September 22, Aberdeen, 12 – 5:30 p.m. (CDT) – The Department of Labor will co-sponsor the 2009 Aberdeen Area Job Fair held at the Aberdeen Civic Arena. Job seekers can attend at no cost to discover career opportunities, meet recruiters, distribute their resumes and gather information about local companies. The Arena is located at 215 S. Wednesday-Friday, September 23-25, Spearfish – The Department of Environment and Natural Resources staff will be among speakers at the South Dakota Solid Waste Management Association’s 20th Annual Solid Waste Conference and Trade Show. Wednesday-Thursday, September 23-24, Digital Dakota Network & Teleconference, 2 p.m. (CDT) -The DENR Board of Water and Natural Resources will meet from 2-4 p.m. on September 23, over the Digital Dakota Network and from 10-11 a.m. on September 24, by teleconference. Digital Dakota Network sites will be in Pierre, Rapid City, Watertown, Sioux Falls, Aberdeen, and Mitchell. The board will consider applications for funds from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund, Consolidated Water Facilities Construction, and State Water Resources Management System programs. The board will also hold a public hearing to adopt a Brownfields Revitalization and Economic Development Program Workplan, consider State Water Plan applications, amend the Clean Water Intended Use Plan, and elect board officers. Wednesday, September 23, Murdo, 2:30 p.m. (CDT) - The Department of Revenue and Regulation, Property and Special Taxes Division, is hosting an ag land productivity valuation presentation at the Jones County Senior Citizens Center, 113 Main Street. This presentation will offer helpful information on the upcoming assessment changes for agricultural land by introducing the productivity valuation system adopted by the 2009 legislative session.
