North Sioux City Police Department to Receive Money for Surveillance Vehicle from
Drug Control Fund

PIERRE, S.D  -  Attorney General Marty Jackley announced today that the North Sioux City Police Department has been awarded $11,500 to purchase a vehicle for use in drug investigations.

The money was awarded out of the Drug Control Fund. The grant will assist local law enforcement with its drug control and apprehension activities.

“The Drug Control Fund was created for exactly this type of expenditure to assist law enforcement in protecting our communities from monies taken from criminal activity,” said Jackley.

“The North Sioux City Police Department would like to thank the Attorney General’s Office for the funds to purchase a vehicle for the purpose of drug control and apprehension in our area," said Chief of Police Jody Frye. "This vehicle will be a great asset and tool to our department, as well as neighboring departments, as we continue our law enforcement efforts on drug control, apprehension and drug investigations in our area. We look forward to working with the Attorney General’s Office in future efforts of drug control in the North Sioux City community,”
