Flags at Half-Staff at State Capitol in Honor of Former State Legislator Dennis Pierson

PIERRE, S.D. – Today, Governor Kristi Noem ordered that flags be flown at half-staff at the State Capitol from sunrise until sunset on Saturday, October 26, 2024, in honor of former state legislator Dennis (Denny) Ray Pierson. Denny Pierson represented Davison County in the State House of Representatives from 1979-1982, and he represented Minnehaha County in the State Senate from 1992-1994.

A funeral service for Denny will take place on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 10:30 am at Miller Southside Chapel, located at 7400 S. Minnesota Ave., Sioux Falls, SD 57108.
