Governor Appoints Tim Kessler To Board of Economic Development
PIERRE, S.D. – Gov. Dennis Daugaard announced today that he has appointed Aberdeen businessman Tim Kessler to the State Board of Economic Development.
“Tim Kessler has a wealth of business experience, and I’m grateful that he has agreed to serve on this very important board,” the Governor said. “Economic development and job creation are my top priorities, and I know that Tim will help achieve those goals.”
Kessler fills a vacancy created by the death of Dave Bozied of Sioux Falls.
Gov. Daugaard said Kessler has a long history of public service, having spent 17 years on the South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks Commission.
Kessler is president of Kessler’s Inc., a family-owned retail grocery.
The 13-member State Board of Economic Development assists businesses by making low-interest loans from a special state account called the Revolving Economic Development and Initiative fund (REDI).
