Codington County: Injury Crash
Two people were seriously injured this morning on the east edge of Watertown. It happened about 11:30 a.m. on Highway 212.
Donald Walraven, 49, of Watertown was driving his Ford van east on Highway 212. Thomas A. Glanzer, 54, of Doland was driving his Peterbuild truck east in the westbound lanes of Highway 212. The vehicles collided as Walraven attempted to turn north across the westbound lanes.
Walraven and his passenger, Terry Isack, 52, of Wavery both received life-threatening injuries. Neither was wearing a seatbelt.
Glanzer was uninjured and was wearing a seatbelt.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
