State prison offender Marc Best has died.

Best, age 29, passed away May 28^th in a comfort care setting at the Jameson Annex to the South Dakota State Penitentiary in Sioux Falls where he had been housed for some time.

At the time of his death, Best was serving sentences for aggravated assault from Hughes County, sliming/assault by an inmate, and simple assault on law enforcement from Minnehaha County.
