Inmate Nathaniel Buckley back in custody

RAPID CITY, S.D.- A minimum-security inmate who was placed on escape status last month is back in custody.

Inmate Nathaniel Buckley was apprehended by law enforcement in Rapid City Nov. 4.
He was placed on escape status Oct. 21 after leaving his community service jobsite in Rapid City without authorization.

Buckley is currently being held in the Pennington County Jail.

Failure to return from assignment constitutes second-degree escape, a Class 5 felony punishable by up to 5 years in prison.
