Saturday, Jan. 10, 12 p.m. CST, Pierre, Capitol Building – Gov. Dennis Daugaard will be sworn in for his second term as governor and will give his second Inaugural Address.
Monday, Jan. 12, 2 p.m. CST, Pierre – Gov. Dennis Daugaard will speak at the South Dakota Retailers Association annual meeting at the Ramkota River Centre, Pierre.
Tuesday, Jan. 13, 1 p.m. CDT, Pierre, Capitol Building – Gov. Dennis Daugaard will give the State of the State Address in the House Chamber of the Capitol Building.
Wednesday, Jan. 14, 1:30 p.m. CST, Pierre – Gov. Dennis Daugaard will attend the State of the Judiciary Message in the House Chamber of the Capitol Building.
Thursday, Jan. 15, 12 p.m. CST, Pierre – Gov. Dennis Daugaard will recognize the South Dakota Milken Award winner and Teacher of the Year in the Rotunda of the Capitol Building.
Friday, Jan. 16, 10 a.m. CST, Pierre – Gov. Dennis Daugaard will speak at the South Dakota Rural Electric Annual meeting at the Ramkota River Centre, Pierre.
Friday, Jan. 16, 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. MST, Rapid City – Gov. Dennis Daugaard will speak at the South Dakota Governor’s 6th Biennial Art Exhibition at the Dahl Arts Center in Rapid City.

Thursday, Jan. 15, 2 p.m. CST, Pierre – The South Dakota Board of Education will hold its regularly scheduled meeting in the Library Commons, first floor of the MacKay Building, 800 Governors Drive, in Pierre. Public hearings will be held related to content standards adoption in the areas of science, social studies, fine arts and K-12 educational technology. There will also be a number of agenda items related to the technical institutes. An agenda will be available at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting at: doe.sd.gov/board/.
Thursday, Jan. 15, to Friday, Jan. 16, Pierre – Beginning Jan. 15 at 1 p.m. CST, the South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks’ (GFP) Commission will meet at the Pierre Red Rossa Convention Room in Pierre. A public hearing will begin at 2 p.m. CST discussing the finalizations of last month’s meeting. The GFP Commission serves as the advocate and liaison between the department and its stakeholders – the people of South Dakota. The Commission meets monthly (except for February and September) and consists of eight members; which are appointed by the Governor for four year terms. JSAP is a workshop for people recovering from job loss or enhancing their job search skills. Trained instructors speak on modern-day techniques used to successfully find employment.
