Brookings County Fatal Crash
What: One-vehicle fatal crash
When: Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010, 10:30 a.m.
Where: Interstate 29, mile marker 131, one mile south of Brookings
Driver: Steven Arnold Berreth, 48, Aberdeen, fatal
Vehicle: 2006 Dodge pickup
BROOKINGS, S.D. – An Aberdeen man died in a one-vehicle crash Wednesday morning on Interstate 29 a mile south of Brookings.
Steven Arnold Berreth, 48, was driving a 2006 Dodge pickup that rolled and came to rest in a field east of the interstate. The roadway had patches of ice and slush in the area of the crash. Berreth was wearing a seatbelt.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating. The Aberdeen Police Department assisted.
