Gov. Dennis Daugaard’s Public Commitments; Public Meetings:
Saturday, Jan. 18, approximately 7 p.m. CST, Sioux Falls, Sioux Falls Convention Center – Gov. Dennis Daugaard will speak at the South Dakota Corn Growers Association annual meeting.
Monday, Jan. 20, 12 p.m. CST, Aberdeen, Ramkota – Gov. Dennis Daugaard will speak at the Aberdeen Rotary noon luncheon.
Wednesday, Jan. 22, to Thursday, Jan. 23, Pierre, Ramkota – The South Dakota Department of Tourism will host the annual Governor’s Conference on Tourism, Jan. 22-23, at the Best Western Ramkota Hotel and Conference Center in Pierre. The conference will feature expert-led sessions on a variety of topics, including customer service, social media, creative thinking, marketing and industry best practices. In addition, Gov. Dennis Daugaard will present visitor industry awards and unveil the 2013 economic impact results during the Awards Night Gala and closing banquet, January 23. Thursday, Jan. 23, 2 p.m. CST, Pierre, Capitol Building, Governor’s Large Conference Room – Gov. Dennis Daugaard will host a press conference to discuss annul tourism economic impact and return on investment. All material from the news conference is embargoed from release until 7 p.m. CST Thursday, when the Governor will announce the results at the annual tourism conference at the Ramkota River Center in Pierre.
