Employers and Partners Invited to Apprenticeship Knowledge Series on Artificial Intelligence

PIERRE, SD – The Department of Labor and Regulation invites employers, education partners, community stakeholders, and current registered apprenticeship sponsors to a free virtual Apprenticeship Knowledge Series focused on the future of Registered Apprenticeship Programs (RAPs) and the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in workforce training.

The online session will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. CDT / 10:30 a.m. MDT via Microsoft Teams.

Participants will explore how Registered Apprenticeship Programs are evolving and the ways AI can help sponsors strengthen training and upskill their workforce. The session will share practical resources and ideas for adapting programs over time, including how AI can enhance curriculum development, support on-the-job learning, and reduce administrative tasks while preserving the strong foundation of Registered Apprenticeships.

The session will also highlight free U.S. Department of Labor-aligned resources sponsors can use to incorporate AI into related technical instruction.

Registration is required. Visit tinyurl.com/dlr-workshops and select the calendar listing for the event.
