Nonfat Dry Milk Program Operational Again

(Pierre, SD) --- After several delays, the nonfat dry milk program is back in operation. Livestock owners of foundation beef cattle, sheep, goat and buffalo herds in Custer, Perkins, Fall River, Pennington, Meade, Haakon, Shannon, Bennett, Jackson, Mellette, Todd, Dewey and Ziebach Counties are eligible for this supplemental feed source.

Due to changes USDA has made in the original program, eligible producers will have until May 16, 2003 to contact their local cooperative extension office to enroll.
