Martina McBride to Headline SD State Fair Concerts; Eddie Money and Bellamy Brothers Added to Line-up

Huron, S.D. – The South Dakota State Fair, in cooperation with Jack Link’s, is pleased to announce Martina McBride as the grandstand headliner, on Saturday, Sept. 4.

McBride, the winner of several Country Music Awards, has been making hit records since 1992. Her latest album, Shine, includes her current hit “Wrong Baby Wrong,” which is currently No. 17 on Billboard’s Top Country Songs.  Past hit songs include “This One’s for the Girls,” “Independence Day,” “Concrete Angel,” and “Happy Girl.”

The Bellamy Brothers will open for The Oak Ridge Boys on Friday, Sept. 3.  Throughout their career, The Bellamy Brothers have produced several hit songs, including “Let Your Love Flow,” “If I Said You Had a Beautiful Body (Would you Hold it Against Me),” and “Redneck Girl.”

Eddie Money will open for Three Dog Night on Sunday, Sept. 5.  “Take Me Home Tonight,” “Two Tickets to Paradise,” “Shakin,” and “Baby Hold On” are among Eddie Money’s many hits.

Other grandstand entertainment includes the Red Wilk Construction CBR Bull Bash on Wednesday, Sept. 1 and Thursday, Sept. 2, and the Dakota State Fair Speedway Stock Car Races on Monday, Sept. 6.

McBride last played at the South Dakota State Fair in 2004.

“We are really excited to have Martina McBride back with us for our 125^th anniversary,” said State Fair Manager Jerome Hertel. “With the addition of our support acts, I feel that we have an extraordinary grandstand lineup that offers something for everyone.”

State Fair Grandstand tickets will go on sale Monday, June 21.  Friends of the Fair will have access to a pre-sale on tickets Thursday, June 17, and Friday, June 18.  Tickets will be available online or at the box office.  For ticketing and pricing information, log onto www.sdstatefair.com
