 Suspected Bank Robber Arrested for DUI
 
Pierre, SDA Friday night traffic stop led to a DUI arrest and the capture of a suspected bank robber.
 
The Highway Patrol stopped Erick C. Dinse, 40, for a traffic violation on I-29 near Brookings Friday night. Dinse failed to pull over for the trooper and road spikes were eventually used to stop him.
 
During the arrest, the trooper discovered Dinse was under the influence of alcohol, had stolen license plates on his car, and had an outstanding warrant for bank robbery out of Sacramento County, CA. 
 
Dinse was charged with a DUI, eluding, possession of stolen property, substitute plates, no driver’s license, lane driving, and being a fugitive from justice.
 
Dinse’s current address is unknown. He is awaiting extradition to California.
