Pierre, SD-A ground search is underway in the Redfield area for a suspected armed robber.

Law enforcement is looking for a white male who is at least six feet tall and 300- pounds. He has short blonde hair with sideburns and a goatee. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a grayish green jacket.  He is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information concerning the robbery should call 911.

 

The man is suspected of robbing the Bank of the West in Redfield around 11:15am today. The man did present a gun, however, no one was injured in the robbery. 

 

Law enforcement has set up a perimeter around the Redfield area. Police are asking people living in the Redfield area to make sure they don’t leave keys in their cars, and to make sure they lock their cars.
