Lab reports indicate, Amanda Boll, 18, of Sioux Falls had a blood alcohol concentration of .173-percent at the time of her death. In South Dakota, the legal limit is .08-percent.
Around 4 a.m. on April 15, 2006, Boll lost control of the vehicle she was driving, and it rolled. The crash happened near Lennox on 279th Street. Boll died at the scene.
She had one passenger with her. He was ejected from the vehicle and sustained non-life threatening injuries.
“The loss of Boll is very tragic. Heart-breaking situations like this are all too common on South Dakota’s roads. Please, don’t drink and drive,” said Col. Dan Mosteller, South Dakota Highway Patrol Superintendent.
In 2005, 74 people lost their lives in drinking and driving accidents in South Dakota.
