Board Sanctions License of Sioux Falls Chiropractor

(Pierre) – The South Dakota Board of Chiropractic Examiners has placed the license of Dr. Mark P. Hagen of Sioux Falls on probation for a period of two years.

The Board’s action stems from information obtained during a peer review of the professional services provided by Hagen to his patients. Hagen allegedly failed to properly keep records and properly document patient care. Hagen also allegedly failed to conform to the Board’s practice standards.

As a condition of the probation, Hagen is required to complete six months of educational instruction in proper case documentation and standards of care. Hagen is also required to reimburse the Board for the cost of its investigation and attorney fees in the amount of $25,000. If Hagen complies with the terms and conditions of the probation agreement, the Board will dismiss the disciplinary action.
