Description:

A 2003 Pontiac Montana was traveling west on I-90 when the driver lost control of the vehicle and entered the median. The vehicle continued through the median for a short distance and struck the eastbound bridge at exit 34. After colliding with the bridge, the vehicle fell onto the service road below. All five occupants were restrained with seatbelts or child safety seats.  The driver, Brian Jackson, died at the scene. The other four occupants, children ages three to eight, were removed from the vehicle by passers-by. They all received life threatening injuries. The van became engulfed in flames a short time after the crash. Braden Osborne succumbed to his injuries later Saturday evening. Tyson Lewis succumbed to his injuries Sunday morning. It is still not known why the van entered the median, or if alcohol was a factor. The Meade County Sheriff’s Office is assisting with the investigation.
