Pierre, S.D. - State prison inmates have been deployed to assist with fighting a wildfire in Custer State Park.

Seventeen inmates and staff from the Rapid City Minimum Unit were called to the Middle Fork Fire this afternoon. All of the inmates and staff on the fire line are trained and certified firefighters.
