$9,130,000 Hot Lotto Jackpot Ticket Sold in South Dakota

(Pierre) – The single jackpot-winning ticket for last night’s $9,130,000 Hot Lotto game drawing was sold in Sioux Falls.

"We’re very excited," said Norm Lingle, executive director of the Lottery. "This is the first time a Hot Lotto jackpot has been won in South Dakota, and it’s the third largest lotto jackpot ever won in the state."

The winning numbers for the Wednesday, June 15 Hot Lotto drawing were: 04, 05, 11, 14, 31 and the Hot Ball was 07.

Lingle also said the ticket holder should sign the back of the ticket immediately, put it in a safe place, and contact the Lottery at 605-773-5770 to make arrangements to validate the ticket and claim the prize.

The jackpot winner has 180 days to claim the prize, and will have the option of receiving the $9,130,000 jackpot as an annuity paid over 24 years (25 payments) or taking a one-time cash payment of $5,732,579.

Hot Lotto is played in eight lotteries: South Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, New Hampshire, West Virginia, and Washington, D.C. Players pick five white numbers from 1 to 39 and an orange Hot Ball from 1 to 19.

The odds of winning the jackpot are 1:10,939,383. The jackpot returns to its $1 million starting point for the Saturday, June 18 drawing.
