Milbank man is state’s fifth Wild Card 2 jackpot winner

(Pierre) – John Schamber of Milbank is the winner of the recent Wild Card 2 jackpot, and today claimed his $264,837 prize.

Schamber’s ticket was one of two jackpot-winning tickets for the Wednesday, November 3 drawing.  The other winning ticket was sold in Idaho, and they split the $529,674 jackpot.

Schamber purchased the winning ticket at the U Pump It store in Milbank.  The store will receive a $2,648 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

This is the fifth time the game’s jackpot has been won in South Dakota.  The estimated jackpot for the game’s next drawing on Wednesday, November 10 is $105,000.

Wild Card 2 is played in South DakotaNorth DakotaMontana, and Idaho.  Players pick five numbers from 1 to 31 and a face card, and get two plays for $1.  The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 1,359,288.  The odds of winning any prize in the game are 1 in 6.
