SD Air National Guard Wreath Laying Ceremony to Honor Joe Foss

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Members of the South Dakota Air National Guard will participate in a wreath laying ceremony, in honor of Brigadier General (retired) Joseph J. “Joe” Foss, today, at 2:00 pm, near the Joe Foss statue in the Costello Terminal at the Sioux Falls Regional Airport. General Foss was one of the charter members and first commander of the South Dakota Air National Guard upon its founding in 1946. He passed away on January 1, 2003 at the age of 87 years.
