More SD Air National Guardmembers Activated, to Deploy to Air Force Bases in the US

Sioux Falls, SD -- United States military response to recent global threats continues to include members of the South Dakota Air National Guard. Two additional groups of guardmembers have been activated and deployed in support of Operations Noble Eagle and Enduring Freedom. Both groups will be initially deployed to undisclosed Air Force Bases in the United States where they will augment active duty forces. The potential for follow-on deployment to locations outside the continental United States remains unknown at this time. Specific numbers of personnel, military specialties and final destination are not being released due to security and privacy concerns.
