Elmore, SD  – The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) will begin grading US 14A, Spearfish Canyon, near Elmore on Monday, May 15. The project will straighten several sharp curves, approximately ½ mile north of Elmore.

 

Traffic will be directed through the work area by flaggers and pilot cars during working hours. Travelers can expect up to 15 minute delays. Two-way traffic will be maintained on either dirt or gravel surfacing at night.

 

The grading is expected to take about a month and a half. Crews will start surfacing work around the beginning of July. The entire project is scheduled to be complete on or before July 15, 2006.
