Southbound Ramp to Close at Tea Interchange

SIOUX FALLS – Construction crews plan to close the I-29 southbound off-ramp at Exit 73 on Thursday, September 15. The closure will be in effect for seven days. During that time, traffic headed to Tea will need to take a detour two miles south on Interstate 29 to Exit 71. The total detour length is approximately six miles and will add about 10 minutes of additional travel time.

The South Dakota Department of Transportation holds weekly progress meetings every Thursday morning at 9:00 am at the Tea City Hall. Anyone interested in the project is welcome to attend.

Upper Plains Contracting Inc. of AberdeenSD, is the prime contractor on the project, which is scheduled to be complete on November 4.
