Bridge Replacement to begin over BNSF Railroad

MOBRIDGE, SD -- Construction crews will begin replacing the bridge over the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad on SD130 east of Selby after Labor Day.

Workers with A-G-E Corporation of Ft. Pierre will begin work on Tuesday, September 6. Highway 130 will remain open to traffic for approximately one month after the start date. At the beginning of October crews will close the road for continued construction. The actual bridge work is scheduled to begin around the first of November.

A detour will reroute traffic around US 83 and SD 271 during the main part of the construction. The project is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2006.
