Road Closures for Railroad Upgrades

(Rapid City) Railroad crews will begin leveling work on the 8^th Street railroad crossing on September 8. The 8^th Street closure from the Omaha Street reconstruction project will be extended to include the railroad crossing. Access along Rapid Street between Omaha Street and Main Street will be maintained during this time. Business access should use 7^th Street or West Boulevard. This work will be complete on September 9.

Railroad crews will also begin leveling work on the Mountain View Road railroad crossing on September 10. Mountain View Road will be closed at the railroad crossing between West Main Street and Omaha Street. Please plan alternate routes. This work will be complete on September 11.
