Paving on US Highway 14 Between Brookings and Volga Begins

BROOKINGS – Construction work on US Highway 14 between Brookings and Volga is progressing with concrete paving work planned for approximately the next three weeks.  

During the paving operations there will be considerable truck traffic turning onto and off of US Highway 14 throughout this area.  The Department of Transportation encourages the travelling public to drive attentively along this stretch of roadway.  Flaggers will be utilized to aid in slowing traffic during paving operations.

The prime contractor on the project is Irving F. Jensen of Sioux City, Iowa.  The Department of Transportation and the contractor would like to thank motorists for their patience and understanding during construction of the project.
