US Highway 212 Reconstruction

Belle Fourche – Beginning May 26, US Highway 212 will be under construction from the SD/WY border and continue 8 miles east toward Belle Fourche.  The work involves cold milling asphalt concrete, non-reinforced PCC paving, asphalt shoulders, and slope flattening.

The work will be done with one lane closed and a pilot car running 24/7 in the open lane until late July. Due to the length of the project, delays may extend up to 30 minutes at times. No detour route is being provided and travelers are being advised to take an alternate route if possible.  An 11’ width restriction will also be in place.

The prime contractor on this project is Knife River Midwest, LLC and the contact person is Scott Hunwardsen, 712-252-2766.  The overall completion date for this project is October 30, 2009.
