Woodland Cabinetry Expands in Sisseton

PIERRE, S.D.Woodland Cabinetry, manufacturer of state-of-the-art, custom cabinetry, is expanding its South Dakota manufacturing operation. The company announced that it will construct a 50,000 square foot addition to its Sisseton facility, bringing 100 jobs to the community throughout the next few years.

Woodland Cabinetry was established in Sisseton, South Dakota in the fall of 1994 and currently has 46,000 square feet of manufacturing space and 185 employees.

“This expansion is good news for Sisseton and all of South Dakota,” said Richard Benda, secretary of the Department of Tourism and State Development. “Woodland Cabinetry has experienced firsthand the kind of business advantages communities like Sisseton can offer.”

The expansion will allow Woodland Cabinetry to increase capacity across the entire product line. “We have enhanced our product line and have added several new finish options that make our offerings more appealing to a wider range of the kitchen cabinet market,” said Tom Satrang, president of Woodland Cabinetry. “The custom cabinet end of our business continues to open doors for us and provides a value that is unmatched in the industry at our price point.”

The company’s sales growth over the past few years has been steady and strong. Consistent quality, service and delivery have been the corner stones that have allowed Woodland to gain market share and increase its business. “Performing better than our competition, being a solid partner with our dealers and working together to reach our goals are keys to our success,” Satrang added. “We have a very dedicated workforce in Sisseton, and are very grateful for all of their hard work to make Woodland a success,” he concluded.

The Governor’s Office of Economic Development is working closely with the company to secure financing for the expansion.

Groundbreaking ceremonies for the new manufacturing plant were held on Wednesday, August 22, in Sisseton.
