New Web site for South Dakota State Historical Society Press
PIERRE, S.D.—Book lovers have a new online source for volumes on South Dakota history. The South Dakota State Historical Society Press has unveiled its new Web site, www.sdshspress.com.
The site provides visitors with a comprehensive book experience in a user-friendly internet environment. It focuses on books published by the Press and the quarterly journal South Dakota History. Visitors can find features, detailed information, pictures and press releases about each publication. The new site offers a secure shopping-cart system enabling visitors to safely purchase their selections online.
The journal section features new and past issues of South Dakota History, the State Historical Society’s award-winning magazine. Information and short excerpts of articles allow visitors to stay up-to-date with new research on South Dakota history.
Visitors can read about new and upcoming books, awards, book-signings and activities of the South Dakota State Historical Society Press in the news section, which also highlights special offers and promotions throughout the year. Visitors may also sign up for a regular e-newsletter informing them of developments at the Press, new work in the pipeline, and special offers and competitions.
