Gov. Rounds Welcomes CoSentry Dakotas LLC
PIERRE, S.D. – The business community in the Sioux Falls region now has access to vital backup services with CoSentry Dakotas LLC. CoSentry is a one-stop source for technology solutions. Their products and services include hosting and infrastructure management, business continuity and recovery solutions, managed technical services, and consulting services.
“CoSentry Dakotas LLC is a great business fit for the Sioux Falls area,” said Gov. Mike Rounds. “South Dakota is home to many thriving businesses that can utilize the backup and recovery service CoSentry provides. Demand for this service is growing as more companies recognize the need to have a comprehensive plan to keep business running in case of a natural disaster or sabotage.”
Through $100,000 of support from the state’s Revolving Economic Development and Initiative (REDI) Fund, CoSentry Dakotas LLC is ready to serve South Dakota as the region’s most comprehensive business continuity and managed services provider. The company is part of a leading Omaha-based provider of work group recovery solutions that help businesses meet regulatory requirements, as well as provide a local, backup work site for businesses that must avoid interruption in services.
CoSentry Dakotas LLC officially opens the doors of its new Sioux Falls workgroup recovery facility Wednesday, November 9, located at 700 E. 54th St. North. The 200-seat-work-group recovery center includes a 3,000-square-foot area for storing computer data.
“There is a demand for this service in Sioux Falls,” said Cris Freiwald, general manager of CoSentry Dakotas LLC. “We were surprised when our research showed there was no dedicated recovery center in the community. It’s important to protect businesses’ information, people and documents when for some reason they become unavailable,” said Freiwald. He noted that working with state and local economic development offices made the expansion to Sioux Falls possible. “They understood the business need right away and recognized the value that we bring to the community,” said Freiwald.
The state’s REDI Fund is designed to help promote job growth in South Dakota. This low interest loan fund is available to start-up firms, and businesses that are expanding or relocating and local economic development corporations.
