South Dakota Tourism Partners with Citibank South Dakota
PIERRE, S.D. – The South Dakota Office of Tourism and Citibank South Dakota are partnering to host a travel planning day for Citibank’s 3,200 Sioux Falls employees. The planning day, May 12, is part of the Office of Tourism’s National Tourism Week campaign, “Explore South Dakota.” Gov. Mike Rounds will speak at noon at Citibank’s outdoor terrace.
“This is an opportunity for Citibank employees to learn more about South Dakota and discover close-to-home vacation ideas,” said Gov. Mike Rounds. “They’ll find we have more safe, affordable, family-friendly destinations and attractions than anywhere else in the world.”
Many of Citibank South Dakota’s employees live in Minnesota and Iowa, key target markets for the South Dakota Office of Tourism.
The event features exhibits by the South Dakota Office of Tourism, Department of Game, Fish and Parks, Southeast South Dakota Tourism Association and convention and visitors bureaus from across the state. Representatives of each group will also distribute travel literature and help plan vacation itineraries.
“We are pleased to partner with the Office of Tourism in bringing this event to our employees,” said Kendall Stork, Citibank South Dakota president and chief executive officer. “It will help our workers discover the endless, enjoyable travel opportunities available right here in South Dakota.”
The travel planning day is open to all Citibank employees 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
