CAPITAL Card Services Completes Multi-Million Facility

PIERRE, S.D. - Construction on CAPITAL Card Services’ multi-million state-of-the-art facility in Brookings is now complete and plans are underway for an Open House to be held April 30, Gov. Mike Rounds announced today, April 15, 2004.

The company, which is a leader in portfolio management and card outsourcing plans to hire 25-30 people in Brookings. "Several local employees have already been hired and commuted while completing their initial training in Sioux Falls during the last several months," Rounds said.

Jeff Aegerter, President and CEO of CAPITAL Card Services, is excited about the expansion in Brookings. "The opening of this facility allows CAPITAL to complete its business continuity plan by providing 100 percent redundancy to our technical and operational infrastructure," he said.

CAPITAL will host an Open House and ribbon-cutting event on April 30, 2004 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The event, sponsored by the Brookings Chamber of Commerce, is open to the public.

The 15,000 square foot credit card servicing center is located in the Weise Business Park, directly west of the Swiftel Center. Mills Construction, the general contractor, began construction last July. Miller, Seller and Heroux designed the facility.
