PIERRE, S.D. – Several dozen South Dakota businesses are receiving kudos from state government for delivering outstanding customer service.
The South Dakota Office of Tourism is awarding 138 South Dakota businesses and organizations in 41 communities with the Great Service Star. The Great Service Star program recognizes businesses that complete hospitality training, recognize employees for great service, and are very accommodating to customers.
“Their commitment to customer service helps build South Dakota’s reputation for having a warm, welcoming, and professional tourism industry,” said Melissa Miller, director of the South Dakota Office of Tourism. “This dedication to customer services brings visitors back to South Dakota year after year.”
Miller said the Great Service Star award is often used by companies to help market their businesses and demonstrate their commitment to customer service.
