Saturday, March 29, Madison, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. (CDT) - The Department of Labor's Madison Career Center and KJAM Radio will be holding a Madison Area Career Fair at the Dakota Prairie Playhouse on North Washington Avenue. Tuesday, April 1, Sisseton, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (CDT) - The Department of Labor will have a veterans outreach representative available at the Sisseton Career Center, located at 205 East Oak. Tuesday, April 1, Brookings, 12 - 6 p.m. (CDT) - The Department of Labor's Brookings Career Center will be co-hosting the Access Brookings job fair at the Brookings Inn and Convention Center. Wednesday-Thursday, April 2-3, Rapid City, 8:30 a.m. (MDT) – DENR’s Water Management Board will continue a public hearing on proposed revision to administrative rules on underground injection control class III wells when the board meets at the Radisson Hotel, 445 Mount Rushmore Road in Rapid City. Wednesday, April 2, Mitchell, 10:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. (CDT) - The Department of Labor's Mitchell Career Center will be on the campus of Mitchell Technical Institute as part of Live Dakota, an initiative of Workforce 2025. Thursday-Friday, April 3-4, Brookings, 1 p.m. (CDT) - The S.D. Game, Fish and Parks Commission will hold its April meeting at the Days Inn, Brookings. During the meeting, the commission will consider proposals for setting archery hunting seasons for deer and antelope as well as muzzleloader and youth deer hunting seasons. A public hearing is set for 2 p.m. Thursday for the finalization of a variety elk hunting seasons as well as pheasant, quail and grouse hunting seasons. Sunday, April 6, Vermillion, 1 p.m. (CDT) - Meritorious Unit Commendation presentation and establishment of the 730th ASMC. Company B, 109th Area Support Medical Battalion will receive the Meritorious Unit Commendation as well as change its name to the 730th Area Support Medical Company during a ceremony at the National Guard Armory in Vermillion. The unit is receiving the award for meritorious service during its deployment to Iraq in 2003-2004. The changing of the unit's name is a part of the National Guard's transformation that enables the Guard to be a more effective and integral part of the active duty component.
