Sunday, January 21, Custer, 1-2:30 p.m. (MST) - The Governor’s Child Seat Program: Project 8 is designed to educate South Dakota’s parents and guardians about proper child seat use and installation. Child Passenger Safety Technicians will be available at the Custer County Library, 447 Crook Street, to demonstrate child seat use and installation. Project 8 reminds all parents and other adults responsible for children traveling in motor vehicles -- if the kids are less than 4’9” tall; they need to be in a booster seat. Monday-Wednesday, January 22-24, Pierre, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. (CST) - Representatives from the Department of Social Services will be available at the Capitol Lake Visitor's Center in Pierre, 650 East Capitol Ave, to visit with individuals about the "Own Your Future" Long-Term Care Public Awareness Campaign.  This campaign encourages people between the ages of 45 and 65 to start planning for their long-term care needs now instead of waiting until it is too late.  South Dakotans should understand that long-term care needs are best met when they are properly planned for and not only is long-term care about finances; it is about family relationships, housing, along with health and personal needs. Tuesday, January 23, Madison, 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (CST) - The SD Dept. of Labor’s Madison Career Center will be holding a Job Search Assistance Program (JSAP) at the Career Center, located at 223 S. Van Eps Ave., Suite 101.  The JSAP is designed to assist and train job seekers on how to find a job. Some of the topics included are networking, finding the hidden job market, resumes, applications, and proper interview techniques. It is free and open to the public. Tuesday, January 23, Pierre, 1:30 p.m. (CST) - The South Dakota Aeronautics Commission is hosting its monthly meeting via conference call in the Commission Room of the Becker-Hansen Building, located at 700 E.
