News Tips for the week of April 12, 2004
PIERRE, S.D. – The following are news tips from offices and agencies within South Dakota state government:
Monday, April 12, Sioux Falls, noon (CDT) – Gov. Mike Rounds will speak at the Sioux Falls Downtown Rotary Club meeting at the Holiday Inn City Centre.
Tuesday, April 13, Pierre, 2 p.m. (CDT) – Gov. Mike Rounds and Patrick Callahan of KGFX in Pierre will co-host “A Conversation with Gov. Mike Rounds” on the Dakota News Network.
Tuesday, April 13, Teleconference, 10:30 a.m. (CDT) – The Board of Water and Natural Resources will hold a teleconference Tuesday, April 13, to select an investment banker senior manager. Persons wishing to participate in the teleconference should contact DENR at (605) 773-4216 by noon on April 12 or go to the Lower Level Conference Room in the Joe Foss Building, 523 East Capitol Avenue in Pierre by 10:30 a.m. on April 13. Thursday, April 15, Pierre – 10 a.m. (CDT) – The Board of Minerals and Environment will meet Thursday, April 15, at 10 a.m. CT in the Matthew Training Center, Joe Foss Building, 523 East Capitol, in Pierre. The board will consider adopting new oil and gas rules to address compensation for risk in cases of unitization and forced pooling in South Dakota. The board will also conduct hearings on two applications from Luff Exploration Company, Denver, Colorado, to establish spacing units for horizontal well drilling in the Red River “B” zone in Harding County. Friday, April 16, Sioux Falls, 8 a.m. (CDT) – The South Dakota Council on Developmental Disabilities will hold its quarterly meeting at the Center for Disabilities in Sioux Falls. The agenda includes review of grant applications received in the areas of Leadership Development for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities, Recreation and In-Service Training and a presentation of the Center for Disabilities' programs.
